I’m thrilled to write you as ConnCAN’s new—and first-ever!—statewide outreach and advocacy manager. “First” means the opportunity to set a precedent. That’s why I’m visiting communities throughout the state between now and Election Day to hear what my neighbors in Connecticut think about public education—and amplify our collected voices into a call for the next governor to put schools at the front of the class as a leading priority.

My first stop is next Monday, August 27, at Stepping Stones Museum for Children in Norwalk! You’re cordially invited to join me from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for refreshments and a space to share our stories.

Do you believe that public schools have the power to transform Connecticut, and that our next governor should make education a top priority?

I do, too.

Together, let’s share our experiences with public education: as parents, educators, school leaders, local officials and community advocates at-large.

RSVP today to share your voice!

I hope you’ll join ConnCAN at Stepping Stones on Monday.

Oh—and we’ll provide refreshments!

If you know someone else in the Greater Norwalk Area who believes in the power of public education, invite them to the conversation on Facebook!

I’ll announce more stops on the listening tour soon.
