On August 28, 2014, The New Haven Register published an article on ConnCAN’s annual Public School Report Cards and how the city’s schools fared:

ConnCAN graded 944 public schools, including charter and magnet schools, across the state, based on the Connecticut School Performance Index for 2013 and student enrollment data, and created a searchable database and map to help the public easily access information on how local schools are doing. The database shows details on reading, writing and math and whether the school improved over the 2012 scores. Users also can compare up to four schools.
